manpraying.pngThe Benefits of Kneeling womanpraying.png

To kneel in surrender is to rest the body and to bring solace to the heart.

As humans beings learn to rest these fragile bodies and pamper the restlessness of our souls; we encounter the depth and width of our humanity. It is when we find ourselves kneeling in the urgency of reconnection to self that life starts afresh within us. There are times when we all feel a little overwhelmed by the issues of life; but if we would take a little time and slow everything down, then can we find the inner peace that’s desperately needed.

There are great benefits in simply kneeling; upper and lower back muscles relax, heart rate slows down, blood pressure regulates, hormones balance, and the spirit connects to Higher Intelligence. Kneeling is a form of surrendering. At times we all need to surrender to the cares of life, but not in the sense of defeat; but with the reality that circumstances are sometimes too big for us to remedy. Ultimately we’re allowing the spirit of our self to join or reconnect to the God of Source who is more than able to structure and redirect our lives. God repairs the broken human spirit through self; in other words, all that we need for this life-long journey is already wired in us by Higher Intelligence. God has given us a physical position or stance in which expresses our need for divine guidance, and that is the kneeling position.

In ancient times when nations were ruled by kings; a sign of respect to authority, or the expression of need, and the surrender to Power was displayed by kneeling. Even in boxing; when a man is disoriented by a punch, the hurt boxer will sometimes “take a knee.” This symbolizes that he needs a time-out to regain his senses. Human Beings sometimes seem to take more than their fair share of blows by way of hurts and disappointments, but remember that you can always “take a knee.”

Kneeling is not a sign of weakness but of strength; for it takes a strong man to admit that he needs restoration. So find your strength, your peace, and all that you need to be sustained in this life long journey, by understanding the Benefits of Kneeling.
